be.mine

With sick children for nearly 3 weeks straight, I have yet to give you a glimpse into our Valentine's Day. So, it went a little something like this...

fingerprint Valentines for Walker's Kindergarten class - his fingers were green for quite some time!

an evening in Savannah (alone!) with my wonderful husband - thanks mom and dad for taking such good care of our sweet boys!

beautiful flowers from the boys in my life

an amazing painting from my husband (you know how I love art!) that was done by an artist whose daughter is blind - it reads love in braille - how cool is that?!

Now, if only I could get both of my boys well. I'm heading back to the pediatrician today to check on the little man who has croup. Will this ever end?

Winner!

Sorry it has taken me an extra day to get our winner posted; however, when we returned from Savannah we came home to a very sick little guy. We spent our Valentine's Day at the pediatrician-on-call determining that Walker had bronchitis. Wasn't I just saying something about the warm weather killing all of our nasty germs? So much for that theory! Anyway after an antibiotic, breathing treatments and hallucination producing steroids (another story for another day,) he is finally on the road to recovery. So, onto that winner! Drum roll, please.....

sterling silver monogrammed earring giveaway!

I love these earrings! (Well, obviously I love them because I took the time to make them for myself.) Those of you that follow this blog know that I pretty much NEVER have time to make something for myself. These earrings have been such a big hit since I first starting making them, and now, in the true Valentine spirit, I'd like to give a pair away!!! Now, who wouldn't simply enter a comment for the chance to win a free pair of custom stamped sterling silver monogrammed earrings? After all, I think we all could use a pair of these! And if you couldn't personally use them, I am sure you know someone who would love you forever for giving them as a gift.

So, here is the deal....just enter a comment right below this post (where you see comments down there...you see them, right?) Because I am leaving to go out of town today, comments can be posted up until Monday at 5:00 p.m. At that time, I'll have Mr. Random Generator pick a winner. And, how about this - you tell everyone you think would have an interest in winning these earrings about this giveaway. If they mention your name in their comment, your name will be entered yet again. What a nice way to increase your chances! Now, you will have to check back on Monday for the announcement of the winner. So, let the commenting begin. Good luck!

birthday celebration and letterboxing

Sorry for the lack of posting this past week. After we got Walker over strep throat, we moved on to William's stomach virus. Needless to say, we were all glad to see the pretty weather this weekend - sunshine does wonders for killing those nasty germs and making us all feel much, much better. As a matter of fact, I'm going to try to make this a quick post since today is gorgeous as well!

My sister's birthday was yesterday. We spent the day with her and her family as well as my parents at Paris Mountain - perfect day!!! My dad grilled some "mean" burgers, the cousins enjoyed some play time and we all soaked up the beautiful day. We discovered something new that could quite possibly become some crazy obsession - letterboxing. We had never heard of it, but my sister had done the research. Basically, it is like a scavenger hunt for all ages. And best of all, these hidden boxes are everywhere! If you want to know more (as I did as soon as I we returned home), you can visit http://www.letterboxing.org/ The boys had a ball. Here are some pics from the day...
