on being thankful...

Thanksgiving is one of my all-time favorite holidays. I enjoy it because it is all about being thankful and surrounding yourself with those you love. This time of year more than any, I consciously take the time to reflect on how blessed I truly am. I do not get wrapped up in gift-giving or decorating - simply being thankful. (My mom's incredible turkey and dressing dinner doesn't hurt either!) This year, I am so very thankful for a growing business that allows me to be creative and touch people's lives in a really neat way. I am thankful for those that read my blog and for those that appreciate my jewelry. So, to show you how thankful I am...it's time for the November giveaway! You know the drill. Just leave a comment in the comment section of THIS post, and tell me about something for which you are most thankful. The winner of this piece will be chosen Monday. It is a 1.25" sterling washer with a bronze coin pearl inside. And, as always, share this giveaway with your many friends in your address book. If they register a comment and mention your name, you will win a key ring and have the chance put your two cents in about the design! So, get to commenting and spreading the word. Monday will be here before we know it!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, too. This year, I'm especially thankful for a beautiful and healthy baby girl.

Okay...so this is what my friend Tammi had to say. She wants to be entered in the drawing. (Let me also say that she asked me to post this because she could not get her comment to post. She is very flattering - I would never write this about myself - so here goes!)

I have so many great pieces Lannae has made me. I just love them all because they are so special to me and have my most precious possessions linked to them.
My earrings that have my child's name and birthdate -- one on one and the other on the other one --- get the most attention and everyone just loves them!!!!

I have a fabulous necklace she made for my anniversary that is 11/17/08. One of the most precious things is a dangle for my Mother for Christmas that says "My treasures call me Nanny." She is going to love it.

I am a walking billboard for Lannae's creativity -- she is awesome -- Tammi Barker

Thanksgiving is our family's favorite holiday. I am thankful for the example of my parents...when I think of all the things they have taught me, most often I have picture memories of the way they lived their lives, more than any lectures or discourses or talks they gave us. Like Lannae's October piece - their lives "spoke", and I'm grateful for the powerful lessons of their lives.

Yay!!! I finally remembered my username and password! I've type a comment over 10 times already...only to lose it later!
I LOVE all of the pieces I've ordered for Christmas gifts. I just keep getting them out to look at them! :) I would love to treat myself to a piece of your jewelry (guilt-free). I'll cross my fingers!

I am especially thankful for my grandma and grandpa Maxwell. They lived in Arizona my whole life, until last year when we moved them here because of their failing health. They are 93 and 94 years old and have been married 73 years. They are an amazing tribute to true love and friendship in a marriage. I am so thankful that I have had the past year to spend with them and watch them together. They are truly my biggest blessing.

Lannae - I can only "hope" - seems that's a word we kept looking at tonight - that this will be the lucky blog. Love the necklace - it's even prettier in person! I'm so thankful for my family, wonderful memories, a fun (most of the time) part-time job and my camping times. Susan
